"Emily's Hat"

Many of you heard about Coupon Mommy of 2's daughter, Emily, back in January. Little Emily (3 years old), was diagnosed with Stage IV Cancer around Christmas time. She has spent the past few months enduring chemotherapy and going in and out of doctor's offices, hospitals and clinics. Rosy Bows has been following her journey on her Caring Bridge Page. We are baffled more and more each day at the way the Work At Home Mom community has come together. It's so amazing to be a part of such an amazing group of people who have come together for this cause! It really is an amazing thing.

Rosy Bows wants to help however we can. So, we have made Emily a hat to send to her. We made it 100% cotton so that it is nice and soft on her little head. We also made it purple because it is rumored that purple is her favorite color. It will be going out next week along with "Get Well Soon" Cards from the Kindergarteners in the class that Sarah is student teaching in. After Sarah told them the story about Emily, they were so concerned and so happy to lend a kind word to make her feel better. After reading this story, we both held our daughters for a little longer before bedtime. It's so heartbreaking to think about going through something like this. Shannon is such an amazing woman and has helped Rosy Bows so much in the past. The least we can do is spread the word and help them out. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
